Cold Frog...

...cold frog, who doesn't want this stuffed shiny frog to be cold, I mean really. We still haven't quite figured out what the point of all this is, or why he decided to go on this decidedly weird bent for cold frogs, but he does ask for it later...

Frog...

John has given every single stuffed animal in the house to the dog. The only remaining specimen would be a frog that is stuffed with some kind of pellets that makes it rather heavy. Since watching The Princess and the Frog, he has been much enamored with this shiny little frog. Wonder what all the frog affection is leading up too...

The train is pretend but the curiosity and enjoyment of it certainly aren't.

Just because you find a swing your size doesn't mean you don't like for dad to swing you too!

Short Swings

Photobucket

Photobucket

This is the very first swing that we have come across that was low enough to the ground that John can touch his feet to the ground. He enjoyed pushing himself some and then I pushed him, I was surprised at just how high he liked to be pushed and how long he held on. We're slowly working on teaching him to swing by himself, that's a lot of coordination so it will take him some time, but by the end of summer he will probably be a champ swinger!

Protector!

Photobucket

Lately we've been taking walks to the park in the cool of the evening, John gets to walk Mellon and they both seem to enjoy it, enough so that I had to have them stop so that I could get their pic as they kept getting to close to me too fast ;) As you can tell even though it is our intention that Mellon be John's protector at some point in time, the current protector of both of the them is never far behind!

One Thing

Photobucket

Photobucket

When we go out shopping, one store or many, John gets to have one thing that day. This day we started right in the front door of Walmart with he needed the water ballons, then he put them back cause he needed the water shooter and then changed that for the water balloons again. In toys he traded the water balloons for a Toy Story book, which he then tried to change for a Toy Story dvd in electronics, but of course 1 thing does not mean 1 expensive thing, so nope he held onto the Toy Story book and shopped through the Wii games and then off towards grocery. While I was getting him some pull-ups for night time he found something to trade the Toy Story book for a Spiderman Umbrella. I was surprised when we got to the front of the store that it was still the Spiderman Umbrella that came home with us as I had to talk him out of trading it for a bag of frozen french fries, which he won't really eat but he can now get out of the freezer at the store and at home by himself and so they are cool. Shopping with John is always an adventure, and while he may come home with only one thing, chances are he touched a 100 to get to it.
